From Sulzano, located between Iseo and Sale Marasino, you have a gorgeous view to the island Monte Isola, which you can easily reach via a regularly operating ferry. Sulzano is a very picturesque holiday village with some houses, which even reach the coastline.
The ferry landing is an ideal starting point for you to explore Sulzano. There you can find a small public garden and a beautiful Marina. To the right from the dock you reach Via Cadorna, which leads you into the ancient historical part of the village with stone arches, old lampposts and narrow passageways. Visit the tiny church of St. Elizabeth and enjoy a view of the nearby Monte Isola, which can be seen due to a small outlet into the Lake.
From here you descend, cross the Via Cesare Battisti and follow Via Chiesa until you reach the baroque-style church „Chiesa della Visitazione“, which was built in the 17th century. Continue on Via Diaz, still descending slightly to arrive at the hills of Sulzano and admire a magnificent view of the Iseo Lake.
In the district Pilzone there is a beautiful public beach and not far from there in a bay you can find the Sailing Center ANS (Associazione Nautica Sebino), which offers courses for beginners and even advanced sailers.
If you follow the Via Tassano (possible by foot or by car) and afterwards Via Martignago, you will arrive in Nistino at 1000 m.a.s.l. at the church Santa Maria del Nistisino, built in the 15th century. You can admire numerous beautiful frescoes from the 15th and 16th century and of course a magnificent panoramic view of Iseo Lake and its surroundings.
